The regime in New England is getting older. If Brady leaves, someone else in that division, may actually have a chance.

They will still have the biggest reason for their success, so I wouldn’t count them out yet.

Buffalo seems primed to be good for a while. I could see some give and take between them and NE even without Brady. Like Baltimore/Pittsburgh. Also like Cincy/Cleveland, Jets/Dolphins won’t be relevant except for maybe a flash, one off time.

No, if Brady leaves (which he won't, I'm guessing) he is THE BIGGEST reason for their success over nearly 20 years. Bill would be smart to call it a career and no write another chapter in his book...

My guess is that in the end, Brady signs a deal with NE.  Kraft isn't going to let him go and NE doesn't have an alternative QB plan in place.  I bet he re-signs with NE along with assurances from Kraft that they will go out and get some receivers over the off season.  Then I would expect them to do just that.

Sounds right.  I also think the decline of Brady is not going to be slowed though.

That's true, but the rule changes that favor QBs can help extend his career.  His deep ball has been suspect for a while.  But he can still play the short to medium pass game effectively enough and the "Never touch the QB at any time" rules the NFL seems to want take the wear and tear off of his body.  But he does need some receivers that can get separation and hold on to the football.  In those losses at the end of the season he was forced to put a lot of balls into tight windows and had a lot of drops.

I bet we're getting a Brady-Winston "trade" in NE-TB.

NE doesn’t have much value space.

Jax is quitting..Houston can’t get out of their own way.

Tenn is good but how good? Is there an easier division out there right now if he leaves the East?

Dallas trade Dak and sign him?

True.

Actually thinking more about it, I bet he's going to LAC. Spanos needs a star to boost sales in that new stadium, and Brady would definitely be that.

Suggs privately told people last year that he could not steal money from the Ravens; he had too much respect for the organization.  My gut is telling me that Brady is doing something similar.

It should be telling what the NFL thinks of Brady that Vrabel chose Tannehill, the Bears are sticking with Trubisky, the Raiders signed Mariota, the Dolphins have spent money and have ample cap space and aren't even talking with him, noodle Jimmy G that is Trent Dilfer in disguise is favored by the 49ers and that is Tom's backayrd.

Brady is on Mount Rushmore of NFL QBs, but father time is undefeated.  He is a marginal QB at this stage of his career that lives on the limited route tree and needs others to bring his game up.
