Sounds awfully complicated. Also, I see a huge problem in that there will be many teams who won't play much more than their conference schedule each year.

For example, the loser of the NCAA Cup play-in game won't be in the Champions League, and is already eliminated from the NCAA Cup on October 24. So what games does that team play the rest of the season other than its conference schedule? So it plays a 17- or 19-game season?

It's a nice thought, but 345 teams is unwieldy for something of this magnitude.

They would schedule non-conference games.
