The signing of Daniels could be the piece that really gets the passing game rolling, if utilized in conjunction with the sure handed Pitta.

A look at the benefits of the duel TE, or "12" personnel set, and how they can steal a page from the 2013 Broncos passing game.

I expect 12 personnel to be a big part of the offense since Daniels and Pitta are both very capable TEs, but at the same time I don't think they're the best complement to one another.  I'd like to see us get the bigger bodied TE in the draft, like a Fiedorowicz or Niklas, to throw into the rotation.  That would allow us to develop the long term complement to Pitta.

It is comforting knowing Daniels is on the roster after last season though.  He's better than the entire TE group we had put together last year, when considering that Pitta was barely there and was recovering from injury.

I agree. Still would target Fiedorwicz. It is just a one year deal for Daniels.

I still think the Oline needs to be much improved for the offense to be much improved over last season.

There are going to be a ton of weapons on offense, no doubt - between Torrey Smith, Steve Smith, Marlon Brown, Jacoby Jones, Dennis Pitta, and Owen Daniels. That doesn't even take into account what we get from Aaron Mellette, Kyle Juszczyk, and the draft.

However, as has been stated above, it will all come down to how the OLine comes together. The key to our entire offense may very well be how healthy KO is and how well he can perform.

Here's my latest post on Baltimore probably using two tight ends in their base package this year. Question is, what does this mean for the receiving group? Would this mean the Ravens could keep just five receivers on the roster out of training camp instead of six like the two previous seasons?

Would surprise me if this was particularly close.
