Holy cow, Liverpool earns a corner and takes a great one. A superb header and Mane was on side and volleyed it into the back of the next. 1-1 in the 56th minute.

62nd minute and Bale in for Real. Ok time for the Welshman to do his thing!

Gareth with a really soft goal. Poor play by the Liverpool keeper has cost the Reds any chance of winning. 3-1 Real with five minutes to go.

Bale became the first player in UCL Finals history to score two goals after coming on as a sub.

Karius should have someone pack up his belongings and just stay in Kiev.
Yeah that was pretty bad. But to be fair he also had two great saves. And for the record back in the day the first goal would have been disallowed. It was unsporting to confront a keeper who was throwing the ball.

I turned it on for the second half, and damn that was a good decision.
I feel so bad for Karius. On the one hand, that was such an utter fluke that I almost want to forgive him. On the other, it was about the worst case of a lack of awareness I've ever seen in any sport--the guy is in your line of goddamn sight! How do you miss that!?!
I'm even willing to forgive him the last goal, because as hot as Bale was I'm guessing if the ball doesn't deflect away it would have sliced through his hands like a light saber.
The one really nice thing about having a lack of deeper knowledge about soccer is that it makes it easier for me to get emotionally into the game (I'm going through my annual version of this with hockey and the Capitals, too). So I was rooting hard for the Reds, and the loss actually did hurt a little. But it really was fun to watch.

PSG just trounced Red Star. Now its Barcelona and Tottenahm. COYS!
Also MNT Weston McKennie scored the game winner for Schalke 04 and Christian Pulisic is out for the Dortmund match with a muscle pull.

Can we talk about the creepiness of a team name being the "Young Boys" ???
