OK, so largely a personal thing with you.  I'm relatively new to following the sport, so I just wasn't sure if it was a common thing for Americans to have allegiance to English clubs as opposed to other countries.

I'm a Liverpool fan and only follow the EPL when it comes to the normal leagues so my allegiance is more to the English teams, but only to an extent.  I personally can't stand La Liga teams as they seem to take flopping to a whole new level.

If you think La Liga teams take flopping to another whole level then I suggest you forgoe watching any South American teams. They invented the "sport" and lead in all time academy awards for best actors.....lol

Makes sense as Suarez is from Uruguay.

So beyond the personal reasons your question triggered a thought. So I wrote an article dissecting just which league is really the best in the world.

Guys take a look and then post up your thoughts. Who do you follow and why? How did you get to be a fan of that league and/or club?

29 seconds in and Tottenham with a clear hand ball in the area. PK and Salah puts it in.

From a technical perspective I thought the Spurs were the better team today but they just couldn't hit the strike. But they were better side, especially the second half.

Liverpool was definitely sloppy, but the Spurs seemed to play with no urgency until the end.  They looked like they were just playing another game in the EPL.  Either way, I'll take the win, great time. :D

Well the first UCL match was almost a stunner. Praha was leading at Inter Milan 1-0 into extra time. But Milan got a free kick just outside the 18. Shot hit the crossbar and Milan hit a half volley into the net to tie it 1-1.

A couple of odd ones today. Real Madrid had to scramble to come from down 2-0 at home against Club Brugge to tie 2-2.

And Spurs SUCKED a big one at home getting crushed by Bayern Munich 7-2.
