BYU goes up 14-0 on Washington St. Freshman Taysom Hill comes off the bench, throws a TD on his first collegiate pass. ESPN announcers saying he is one of the best athletes for the Cougars.

BYU has road trips to Utah, Boise State, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, San Jose St, and New Mexico St. Should be an interesting year for them.

Ugly debut for Mike Leach's offense, as Wazzou is held without a TD in a 30-6 blowout loss to BYU.

Tennessee and Boise St for me. Can't wait... It'll be between innings in the ever important O's/Yank$ game though.

Yep, I'm looking forward to both games as well. I think Tennessee wins close. As much as I dislike NCST, I'll root for them as the ACC homer I am.

Don't have a great feel for Boise. They lost a lot, but am guessing they have more ready to step-up than they have received credit for. Lot of people like Michigan State in the BigTen. I'll give the Spartans the nod at home.

NC State and Mich State. Never want to underestimate Boise....they do especially well with tough openers on the road. But against MSU's defense and without an experienced QB, I just can't take them.

I was thinking the same thing.

Actually I was just thinking...six points against BYU is bad, but what would Maryland have to do against William and Mary to be worse? Obviously six points or fewer, or any loss, but is 14 points in a win that bad? Seventeen?

Tennessee had 3rd and Goal at the 1 with 11 seconds left in the 1st half. The quick snap QB sneak was fumbled, and NCST recovered as ruled on the field. Play is under review. Looks like a TD.

Ruling on the field stands... huge play.

A Boise St FG gives them the 13-10 lead, late in the 2Q vs. the Spartans.

Boise stops MSU on 4th and 1 around their 40 yard line. Boise will have the ball with 1:39 left in the half. Just extremely impressive how they continue to reload.

If Michigan St can't get better QB-play, I don't think they'll be in Pasadena Jan 1. But their D was as good as advertised and Le'Veon Bell is a beast. As I pretty much expected, it looks like a bit of a rebuilding year for Boise State. But they do get their one and only shot as a BCS AQ team next season, so maybe they will be ready for that.

Didn't get to watch any of the NCST/Tenn game, but was surprised by the numbers. 4 INTs for Glennon and their D gave up over 500 yards. Maybe the Pack aren't the ACC darkhorse I thought they might be.
