Why do you follow him?

I don’t. Saw some people commenting on it on twitter.

Thoughts are with Roch Kubatko on the loss of his Father. He wrote a beautiful tribute to him today

Whoa.

NEWS: NBC Sports Washington recently informed Steve Buckhantz it wouldn't be picking up his option for next season at this time, leaving his future at the network uncertain

Don’t like seeing someone lose their job but, man, I really really dislike Buckhantz.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Looks like Jon Bernhardt (who I think used to occasionally write for this site) was let go from The Athletic.

Yeah the Atlantic seemed like they were hedging bets a little bit when they launched and had a good group of independent freelancers writing for them in addition to all the big names. I think they were hoping they could use them to fill content until they had a large enough roster to cover things. Seems like they've gotten rid of the entire freelancer side of things, I know a few writers in multiple locations that were let go all at the same time.

Matt K. who write for Camden Depot the past couple years was one of them too.

I really wish they would have kept that program, it's a really good way to help the independent guys along and works as like a working resume.

As heard on 98 Rock this morning (4/30). Keith Mills is calling quits as a full time sports reporter on WBAL TV/radio and 98 Rock effective 6/28. Says he will still do Ravens pre/post game shows and fill in occasionally. He says after 40 years of doing local sports on TV/radio it is time to pull back the reins.
