Blue Chips: And Oral History of Shaq, Penny and the Orland Magic's lost NBA Dynasty

A good read.

Can't blame those guys for feeling like they could have won one, if not more, championship had that core stayed together and healthy, but they never would've beaten Jordan and the Bulls and the Magic only ever got to the finals in 95 because he wasn't fully back from his two years off.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Nothing. It's an awful awful deal for them. I didn't even realize ibaka was an FA after this year! Awful!

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Yeah, just puzzled me. All I could think of was that they were looking for cap space going forward.

I thought Orlando looked pretty good at the end of the year, and like Oladipo as a piece.

I love Sabonis too.  I think hes going to be a solid pro for 10 years.

Its a trade that protects OKC.  They can be serviceable without KD because of this deal.
