The REALLY funny part is watching hoe Manfred and Crane have handled the whole thing, then reading comments like this.

Cognitive dissonance can be impressive to see.

Nothing he said implied that Manfred or Crane was any better than the players.

So you believe the players are truly remorseful about their "wrongs" and that they are correct when they say they didn't cheat?

First cognitive dissonance, now Bob Beamon-level jumping to conclusions.

Like I said, impressive.

The fact that he only named the players did.

If he wanted to include everyone, he could have said everyone.

So you are the opinion police.  Can you maybe pin a checklist of every other person that needs to be covered when a complaint about someone is given?

And talk about jumping to conclusions.

I don't know, I see adults accepting responsibility for their actions every day.

Some do..plenty of others don’t.

Wow, that seems pretty damning.  For anyone who didn't follow the link, in his Game 5 start Kershaw threw 51 sliders and curves and got 0 swings and misses.

According to Fangraphs, Kershaw got swings and misses on 24.4% of his sliders and 14.3% of his curveballs in 2017 (21.9% and 13.9% for his career).  So...0 out of 51 certainly seems like an anomaly.  Imagine rolling a die 50 times and never rolling a one.  This is less likely (though the die tosses independent which is not the case for each pitch).

Kershaw threw 53 other pitches (I'm presuming all fastballs since he rarely uses the change) and got 4 swings-and-misses.  For 2017 as a whole he got swings and misses 6.6% of the time on fastballs, so that seems more-or-less in line with what you'd expect.

Possible it was just a bad game, I can't find breakdowns of swings and misses by game specifically on offspeed stuff, but he did have seven starts that season with under 10 swinging strikes, but in each of those he had at least 7 swinging strikes (excluding two games he left early with 7 swinging strikes in only 21 pitches and another with 6 in 57 pitches).

Real Astros or camp Astros?

Altuve and Bregman were two of the hitters plunked.

That seems fair.  It is more about lost income rather than games.

I also doubt, that anyone is going to rush to hire them.
