They don't do a shuttle or anything for the students for HOME games? Wow

I honestly don't know. Maybe they do. Even if they do, I still imagine the long trek serves as a deterrent in getting the students to attend games.

Absolutely. It's twice as far as, say, UMD to FedEx Field, or Towson to M&T Bank. Equivalent to the Terps playing at a stadium between Columbia and Ellicott City (which, considering the no-man's land where Joe Robbie sits, is probably a more apt comparison).

Who wants to bet that they have the same problem as Wrigley?

Jack Swarbrick on DJ's concerns

Notre Dame already has measured the field at Fenway to make sure there wouldn't be a recurrence of what happened when Northwestern played Illinois at Wrigley Field in 2010 and they had to change the rules so that the offenses would run only toward the west end zone because the east end zone came within a foot of a padded brick wall.

"We spent a lot of time mapping it, staking it," Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick said Friday. "The Yankees will tell you when we went there the first time, we drove them crazy. We had to outline the entire field. We had to walk in and see it."

Notre Dame wouldn't have scheduled the game if officials thought there was any risk to players, Swarbrick said.

CBS Sports: Texas AD wants to explore Longhorn game in Mexico City

http://www.cbssports...-in-mexico-city

It's still far more "possibility" than "likelihood," but in a conversation with the Austin American-Statesman outlining his vision for the Longhorn program, athletic director Steve Patterson said he wanted to explore playing Texas football games in neutral venues. And one of the cities he'd be interested in exploring, he said, is Mexico City.
