Loved that the direwolf was back at Winterfell in the opening credits.

I'm not sure these final two episodes could've possibly been any better. Only thirteen episodes left...

Three of the five best episodes of the show were in this season, including tonight.

Best season easily. Wow. Just wow.

I didn't think they let her have a mask since she's not a Faceless Man, but sure enough.

I knew that "cake" looked strange.

Once you realized what was going on, you knew it was her.

How the fuck did Varys get from Dorne to Dany's ships?

So there's only two real options for me: 1. Varys is using Littlefinger's jet pack. It's just a convenient plot device for the writers. Still, it just seems like a poor idea because he literally traveled from Slavers Bay to Dorne and back in two or three episodes. 2. Daenerys is VERY close to landing in Westeros. I thought I saw a few ships with the Martell sun and spear sigil which means either they picked Varys up at Sunspear (and the Sand Snakes and Tyrell's would mount a land attack on Kings Landing) and should be at Kings Landing in the first two or three episodes of S7 or Varys led the Martell ships to Dany on open water, somewhere around or in the Narrow Sea.

I thought it was pretty crazy that Lady Olenna already knew about the death of her grandchildren.

And the Citadel thought Jeor Mormont was still the Lord Commander even though he died FOUR YEARS AGO.

Yeah they've been getting lazy with the timelines/passage of time, etc.

I also think it was pretty weak that neither Oleanna seemed sad over the death of her entire family, nor did Cersei seem that broken up about Tommen. I know she knew the prophecy was coming true, and that it would result in her becoming Queen again, but still -- this show needs more emotion at times. Otherwise it's just moving chess pieces on a board. I mean, Cersei's actions indirectly caused Tommen's death, just like we all thought it would.

Still, it was a great episode and this has been the best season so far. A little "off" at times, but they still killed it this year.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I don't think Cersei actually cared that Tommen killed himself.  I think she felt betrayed by him when he stopped the Trial by Combat.

This was my take as well.  She had "lost" him to the faith.

I kind of take it a step further even. I think it was part of her plan. She couldn't have Tommen in the Sept when it blew up because how could she explain willingly killing her own son? Especially to Jaime. But she was likely counting on him being too weak after those events and offing himself. She certainly wasn't too upset when discussing his 'funeral' plans. More disgusted than anything.

Her "Shame" revenge was pretty golden, not going to lie.

Such a great episode.

The Shame part kind of shows her madness, which I appreciated. The show never really got into that side of her character as much as the books did. I definitely enjoyed that.

The Citadel not knowing that Mormont was dead and Jon had been elected as Lord Commander was a bit silly.  Other places in the realm had been informed.  Them not knowing that Aemon had died would have been believable, but I'm not sure why they made it so the Citadel was completely unaware of events at the Wall.
