Very safe hire. My cousin, who is a Dallas fan, is not a fan of this hire.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Some chatter about Dallas signing Brady and trading Prescott.

Personally I think that’s a great idea.

I don’t know if a team like the Chargers or Panthers would give him their high first rounder for Prescott but I suspect they would. Those teams could win now.

Adding Brady to Dallas probably makes them just as likely to contend the next year or 2 and you don’t have to get locked into a bad contract for Dak, not to mention what you get in trade for Dak.

If Brady ends up in Dallas they will have 16 prime time games next year.

I still don't think Brady leave NE.  I also think him going somewhere else at this late stage in his career, opens him up to failure.

It will not matter in regards to his legacy, but probably not a lot of fun for him.

I think Dallas gets worse with a declining Brady other than not getting locked into a big contract with Dak.  Brady's one of the best, but leaving a system you've been in for 20 years at age 43 just seems destined to fail.

Which is why, I do not think he goes to Dallas or anywhere else.

Right now is the silly season. People need to talk about something. Lots of far fetched things being talked about.

Prescott isn't going anywhere.

FRISCO, Texas -- With the deadline to use the franchise tag coming Thursday, the Dallas Cowboys sent a new proposal last week to quarterback Dak Prescott's agent in hopes of kick-starting earnest discussions that lead to a multiyear agreement, according to a source.

Two weeks ago at the scouting combine in Indianapolis, the Cowboys met for roughly 30 minutes with Todd France, Prescott's agent, inside the team's luxury bus. A source termed that discussion as "positive." Before that meeting, the sides had not discussed Prescott's contract since September.

Sources have said the Cowboys had an offer worth $33 million per season and more than $100 million guaranteed on the table. The complete structure of the contract was not known, but it was not enough to get Prescott to sign, although the Cowboys thought they were close on an extension early last season.

Even if he doesn't sign, he gets franchised anyway at right around the same money per for next season. I can't see him not taking that $100M guaranteed.

I'm for second chances, but Smith's last arrest (out of the many) was just last year for DUI. Where's the evidence that he's reformed or is even in the process of reforming?

The new CBA may be easier on substance abuse but now tougher on DUI.
