I found it interesting that in the Darish vs. Wilson match-up, Darvish comes out after the rain delay, while the ex Ranger post-season choke artist who the Rangers let walk in the off-season does not.

If God came down from heaven and was asked to create the perfect Baseball player, he'd create Josh Hamilton.

Actually, he'd make him a bit better defensively and take away the off-field issues and create Matt Kemp :D

Yeah...but he's starting again today. First time a pitcher starts back-to-back games in ten years.

The Rngers rotation is a real mess right now. Lewis is out for the year.

They need to go get a TOR starter.

That's pretty shocking to me. Very disappointed in their fans. It's only a matter of time, it appears, until any fan base gets spoiled and starts doing stuff like this (See: Ravens, Baltimore).

Shocking to me as well. Guy has a .929 OPS, with 45 xbh's on the year. This is after slumping mightily over the past 160 ab's.

Free Agency with him is going to be interesting.

I mean, if Cal Ripken jumped back into the ownership of the club, then started criticizing Adam Jones for his plate approach, some fans will boo him just based on who said it.

Not to totally pull this Rangers thread in another direction, but can you imagine what life would have been like for Cal in '92 (.689 OPS, following his 2nd MVP), with the media (including social) of today?

They got Ryan Dempster right before the deadline for RHP Kyle Hendricks and 3B Christian Villanueva.

They didn't want to throw Olt in there just for kicks? Geez.
