He will play this weekend.

As Jack pointed out this morning, if he can stay healthy, he probably has another 40ish majors in him before he turns 50.

I'm not willing to say he's done in terms of catching Jack...but the health is a big issue.

Haha... of course you aren't.

He's got about the same chance as the Rays do at the division right now. ;)

That's pretty foolish.

I believe he has the same number of major titles jack had at the same age and he won 5 big time tourneys just last year...he was ranked #1 before the back injury happened(and a little while afterwards as well).

The issue is health, not talent.

Of course health is the key. That's what many people here are basing their opinion on.

My bad...Jack is now 1 ahead at the same age.

Jack didn't have health issues though.

Nobody has won more than 3 after turning 39. Tiger will be 39 in Nov. Plus, the obvious health issues on top of it

The other side to this, if you are looking for a silver lining, is the injuries have taken away a lot of swings the last few years.

So, he may be able to play better later in his career because of that.

Now, of course, the question will be health.

He said this back injury he had the other day has nothing to do with his surgery. So, if that's true and he just had a flare up, that's good and bad...bad because his back could end up with further issues but good because the issue with the surgery is still ok.

So, we will see....2013 was a healthy year and he was very good. If this back surgery ends up being ok long term, then he could end up being ok.

Tiger withdraws from Ryder Cup consideration.

Kinda seems like a big "no kidding."  But it's official.

Lemme get two claps and a Ric Flair

Yea but I'm glad to hear it...don't get me wrong, not having him in the Ryder Cup sucks but he needs to get right.

So, I'm glad he is shutting it down.

In Germany we call that, "Ach du meine Güte, nichts klappt mehr, überhaupt gar nichts mehr, so 'ne Scheiße!"  That is bad!
