As it stands right now, five guys will take up $109 million in cap space for the Rams in 2020. Ramsey's cap figure will probably be relatively reasonable for a few years if they re-sign him, but the bill will eventually come due there as well.

Get that he was unhappy with his usage, but surprised the situation devolved to that. Seems likely to be gone.

The Rams will have two players--Jared Goff and Todd Gurley--account for $53.9 million of the roughly $200 million salary cap in 2020. 

 

To add insult to injury, the Rams' new playground is now estimated to cost $5 billion, which is almost double initial projections. And in 2020 this very pricey arena will begin housing a team which already looks to be on the downside. Not the best of all worlds.
