Overrated underrated or properly rated?

Just in terms of his voice where does he rank all time? Freddy Mercury probably has the best pure voice in rock and roll history but after that there is a long line of people fighting for second place.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Not a huge fan of either, always put Rod and Queen in my most overrated lists. Not as overrated as Billy Joel, Heart, Steve Miller Band, and Jimmy Buffett, but overrated to me.

"Every Picture Tells a Story" is an awesome record though.

Billy Joel and Queen overrated!? Go back to Jeterville, Seth.

Back on topic...I think maybe slightly underrated. I don't know anyone who thinks he's amazing, but I do know people who think he's just cheesy pop with that one good song. I'm not sure enough people know him from The Faces. Ooh La La would probably be in my all time top 10 favorite songs.

Great voice but probably overrated only because I'm not sure he's worthy of being such a household name based on his discography.

There were 2 versions of Rod Stewart... pre-Hollywood and Hollywood...

In the Jeff Beck Group, and in Faces, and on his 1st 2 solo albums, he was great.

Then he moved to Beverly Hills and became a cartoon of himself.

If anybody gets sent to Hell for wasting God-given talent, he's near the top of the list and in big trouble...

Billy Joel was amazing in the 70s, once he started making MTV friendly hits, I couldn't stand the songs. There are a few gems in there after 1981, but too much "Uptown Girl" types for my liking.

Queen, I've just never been a huge fan.

Next bus leaves for Jeterville at Noon, see ya there!
