I listened to Dick Cass on 105.7 this morning.  It sounds like they transformed a lot of the building to create distance.

They have classified all personnel into Tier 1, 2 and 3 and it sounds like Tier 3 are not allowed anywhere near the players which I assume are tier 1.

The players will be tested every day, they have every other locker empty with plexi-glass in between.  Every other shower is disabled.  They have trackers to see who comes in contact with who.  Total Team Meetings will be done in 3 seperate rooms.

They have done their homework.   Media access will be very restricted.

The first padded practice will be 8/15/20

NFL has announced AB's punishment is 8 games. I can't help but think Goodell had some internal pressure from certain owners to make a decision on his punishment so they could decide on whether to sign him or not. With Harbaugh and Jackson's comments, its only fair to speculate that the announcement is coming on the heels of someone (possibly the Ravens) taking the chance on him.

It may also have come from Brown himself.  It was reported that he recently asked the NFL to complete its investigation to give him a chance at continuing his career.  In light of the feeling that Kaepernick was blackballed, Goodell may have thought it might not be a good idea to keep that suspension hanging out there and have some accuse the NFL of attempting to black-ball another black player by doing so.  He may have thought it best to get it out of the way and let teams decide from there.  Obviously the two situations are completely different, but still perceptions are often in the eye of the beholder.

This suspension is only in response to his second sexual assault allegation (the accusation by an artist whom he later threatened via text message to keep quiet).

The investigation into his first allegation (a former trainer who he had a relationship with but who claims one time he held her down and forcibly raped her, among a couple other things) is still on-going and he could face more league discipline.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see the suspension go from 8 to 6 games or something like that.

Yes, you would. He's not appealing.

That’s surprising..although that could also mean that he thinks that by not appealing, he won’t get any more time added.

I’m guessing if he appealed, he could knock it down 2-4 games..but they may give him those games back.

Well he's said he's not appealing. He also said he was retiring two weeks ago. So who knows....

“What’s going on is a case of people not believing what their eyes are seeing - mostly bc he’s making them look bad. ... There’s nothing terrible about having been wrong about Lamar Jackson. Most people were. The real mistake is failing to admit it now.”
