Wow, mainly due to lack of real candidates, it is hard to veer off the lineup Roch put together.

Hays, CF

Alberto 2B

Santander LF

Mancini RF

NunezDH

Ruiz 3B

Severino C

Davis 1b

Martin ss

Other than maybe Santander, there is not a bonafide left handed bat on the team.

The rotation,

Means

Cobb, if he can actually pitch

Wojo,

who cares #4

who cares #5

BP

Givens

Harvey

Scott, (I am optimistic, he was given a strike zone for Christmas)

And a bunch of other guys

It’s an unnecessary reminder that there’s more work to be done in the offseason.

That is the final quote from Roch's entry.

I'm not sure why, but why does anyone think the Orioles actually care about who is in the lineup?  They aren't trying to win.

It's funny listening to pundits (and Elias) opine as if there's important work left to do.

Why can't Martin play SS and Alberto play 2B?  Why can't Wilkerson and Valaika back them up?

Why do you need another starter?  They may add another guy, but it will be the last guy on the market looking to pitch some innings.  They care nothing about quality.  We're still in a race for the 1-1 pick.

Remember last year at the deadline and people defended the fact that the Orioles weren't really trying to lose because otherwise they'd have just taken anything and gotten rid of their best players....well so far, we've accomplished that with 2 of our 4 best players.

The fake angst and consideration of thoughtful resolution (work to do) for the lineup is a joke.

They don't care.  They lose zero sleep over it.

Seriously, if they just shut down the front office and everyone went home and just told a couple of the interns to handle the Spring Training travel stuff....what would actually be different, versus what they are doing, in terms of short term or long term results?

I know you love the trade aspect of sports, but unless, we are actually getting value, I hope he stays put.

Agree with this as far as he's the one guy that I'd expect someone in another team's top 10 prospects at least.

"Dude" is right on this though, it really doesn't matter who's in the daily lineup, and for them to sort of act like it does matter is absurd.

Why would he be traded if we aren't getting value?

Does that qualifier really need to be said every time?

I think we are all intelligent to know that trading him means we get back proper value.

IMO, it needs to be said, because, I do not think we have gotten equal return in the trades so far.

Is it really any different, then repeating we need to trade Mancini.

Anyway, I think one of us will be disappointed, when the final decision is made on Mancini for 2020.

That said, the heck with it.

Merry Christmas, hope you and everyone had a good one.
