Ace Baldwin came up clutch again. Much like in the Panthers win over Poly three weeks ago, it was Baldwin who came up big in the fourth quarter. Antonio Hamlin came out on fire, scoring 10 points in the first two-plus minutes in the final stanza, before the Panthers defense clamped down, like it did to hold off the Engineers, holding Mt St Joe to three points over a four minute period, leading to a 18-3 run to overcome a 13 point deficit with less than six minutes to play. West converted a key bucket and free throws late, and, again, like the battle with the Engineers, Khyrie Staten’s energy and defense were vital.
