Interesting tidbit from King's column this morning...

The Rams would have done the Peters deal even if they couldn’t get Ramsey. The rush on Peters came because Baltimore wanted a corner to play in Seattle on Sunday, and if they hadn’t gotten Peters on Tuesday, they’d have pivoted to one of two other prospective deals. Thus the Rams’ haste in dealing Peters.
I wonder what the other potential deals would have been...

I doubt they would have been any better. Peters was a great acquisition, especially for the price!

I'm still shocked EDC was able to get Peters for a back-up LB and a 5th round pick. I know it's a rental and all, but still seems like a massive bargain.

Hard to believe no one would beat it.

I'm guessing it was because they wanted to get it done fast and the Ravens were ready to deal.

I’m sure other teams would have done the same.
However, it’s also possible they didn’t want to send him to some of the other teams...like Philly for example.

I'm sure they preferred to send Peters to the AFC. They knew the Ravens were ready to make a move for a corner. As per Harbaugh, they specifically asked for Kenny Young in the deal, so they must have liked something they saw in him...

Yeah, they thought since Dorsey drafted him in KC, he might be interested. They wanted Bitonio. Dorsey declined, luckily, and they ended up completing a separate deal for Corbett.
