Ramsey to the Rams. Makes even more sense now.

Would you rather have Ramsey for 2 1sts and a 4th or Peters for a 5th and Young?

No brainer to me.

I prefer the Ravens side of this deal, too. But yeah makes way more sense now.

Well yea...but that’s not a deal you are just measuring for this season either.

Rams will obviously extend Ramsey.

One more thought on the scheme. Now you've got two elite guys (or one elite and one very good guy) on the outside. For the love of all that is stubborn, will Martindale please play more Cover 3 and Single High with Thomas. Take away the middle, take away the sidelines. Make teams beat you underneath and give your underneath coverage guys the confidence to be aggressive knowing he's always back there.

Get aggressive with the other 8 guys on the field for the blitz but those three guys deep together should cause QBs to hesitate to throw the ball.

Another thing to consider for Smith.

Figure he is back for NE...but you will want to ease him back in.

Realistically, he’s not a 40+ snap a game guy until probably Thanksgiving time.

So, you weren’t just thin this week...probably thin for several more weeks.

Is it a given the Ravens won't extend Peters?

I feel like should be no problem having him play Sunday. They picked up Bynes off the street and Fort on what, a Thursday, and they started on Sunday in PIT. Peters is a veteran. Just say “cover that guy” and let him go to work.

I wanted no part of Ramsey especially at that price.

I am happy with the deal the Ravens made.

An edge rusher and the defense is much improved.

I have been thinking the same thing.  The one issue, maybe the flights back and forth across the country taking away his  study time.

Not at all.

Didn't want Ramsey for that price either.  I have this sinking feeling the Rams are going to regret giving up two first round picks.

No...but Ramsey is far more likely to extend.

No better time to study than a six hour flight.

Kidding. Not really.

Peters was in the division with Seattle. Familiarity there? Really hope he plays Sunday.

Considering what they gave up for him, my guess is that they were viewing Peters as more of a rental. They'll have the cap space to re-sign him if they so choose, but they're going to have to find common ground on a figure that doesn't restrict them cap-wise.

Depending on how he plays, he may be the Ravens most valuable UFA heading into the offseason.

Of course that doesnt necessarily mean he will be a priority to re-sign if he plays well, but CB may potentially be a position of need.

Barnwell mentioning some inconsistencies.

https://www.espn.com...aguars-rams-won

Here’s the thing...I get that Peters wasn’t likely someone they would re-sign and I also get that they would rather have Ramsey over Peters but it’s still a little head scratching that they would make this move.

Their has to be more to this they cap space and trading for Ramsey. They just Talib, which is obviously a big loss, so not having that other good corner isn’t a good thing. Maybe someone steps up for them but they are still looking at some guys with little experience.

Schrager is saying it’s not an attitude issue, which is good to hear. But something else has to be in play here.

Being traded twice in your rookie deal is a red flag in my opinion. I hope I'm wrong
