Yeah, I'm on Georgia's bandwagon. Notre Dame had a great defensive strategy in that game, and Fromm still found a way to win. November is a challenging month for them, including a trip to Auburn. And if they survive that they likely still have to find a way to get over the hump against Alabama. But today, they are my #1.

I didn’t get to see the game but UGA should have dominated ND. I’m not dropping them but I’m not elevating them either.

They should've done to 7th ranked ND what Alabama did to Southern Miss?
I get your point, but in an early season tilt when you're still getting your bearings, they beat a top 10 team and at times dominated them, even if the score didn't reflect that.
And you're underrating ND. They'll beat Michigan. This may be their only loss.

Who cares if they beat Michigan? They suck.
UGa is way more talented than ND. They should have handled them fairly easily.

By Team Composite, Georgia has the 3rd most talented team per recruits... Notre Dame no slouch at 14.
Of course development, coaching, fit, scheme, etc also matter.

They won and like I said, IMO it was more convincing than the score indicates. Meanwhile, Alabama continues to play no one. They should be penalized for that.Who cares if they beat Michigan? They suck.

Well Clemson isn’t playing anyone either.
Bama’s tough games will be coming.
They are easily one of the best teams in the country although they have lost some key guys due to injury lately.

Clemson did play Texas A&M. They also played GT, Syracuse, and Charlotte.
Alabama has played Duke, NM State, South Carolina and Southern Miss.
Neither one of those schedules so far is very good but Clemson's is way better than Bama's IMO.

Totally agree but the poll is about where a team sits today not based upon their future schedule and expected results.

Sure and some of that is judging talent and quality of team.
Doesn’t matter who they have played in that Regards.
I do t have an issue putting them third though.
UGa is very talented too.

Yeah it was a tough one but in the end I just think Georgia has the best W of the top three. Not enough to get them over Clemson but enough for me to put them ahead of Bama.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

If you guys want to get a kick out of voting take a look at the actual votes of the AP. Its pretty hilarious to see how some voters are so way over the top homers. Its actually sad they some of those idiots get a vote. Here's a matrix of the votes each team got.

Here's a chart showing which writers voted. Pay attention to the affiliation column. As en example look at the votes from Don Williams (writer #34). He has BSU not in his top 25 yet he has 6, yes 6 count em Big 12 teams ranked.

Week 4 saw a couple members of our poll drop out as their weaknesses were exposed against tougher competition. Utah and Michigan both bit the dust on the road against USC and Wisconsin, respectively. Wisconsin was barely outside the Dozen, so as you can imagine their impressive win vaulted them up to #8, pretty high for a first-time appearance. Texas also made their return thanks to the above mentioned losses. Notre Dame put up a good fight at #3 Georgia, and that was enough to keep them in, while Georgia wasn't quite impressive enough to move up.
Three of our Dozen have byes in Week 5, and there aren't what figure to be too many tough matchups for the others. Notre Dame does have to return home and face Virginia, who are ranked as high as #18 in some Top 25 polls. Keep an eye on the Wisconsin's game against Northwestern, in case the Badgers are primed for a letdown. Same goes for #7 Auburn when they face Mississippi State. And depending on which Maryland team decides to show up, #11 Penn State could be in for a surprise Friday night in College Park.
