What a weird little signing/retiring. I wonder if it was favor.

I'm curious how the injuries and not playing are going to affect Dixon and Roberts from here. You almost don't want to play them any more so they don't get scooped up.

His wife is having a baby, so he decided to be with her.

Could re-evaluate things later on..whatever

Trading Dixon to Houston does make a lot of sense right now, that’s for sure.

I'd be on the phone offering any of the RBs not named Ingram or Hill and draft picks for Clowney.

I'd make that move in a heartbeat, but Houston would be crazy to. I can't imagine they'll take anything less than a 1 for him.

No way they are getting a first for him.  I am not even sure they would get a 2nd.

Remember, whoever trades for him is also going to have to give him a big contract...one which he likely isn't worth.

Just because he's traded doesn't mean he will play.  He wants to get paid.

Yes, and if a team is going to trade for him, I have to believe they plan to sign him to a long term deal. He's a difference making pass rusher who can move all over the field, they're not gonna just give him away.

I doubt Houston is going to make a deal for Dixon.  They have Duke Johnson who showed some promise in Cleveland.  Dixon is always hurt and I would think if Houston was interested they would probably wait to see if he is cut, which is a possibility.

And they cant lock him until after the season either because deadline has passed for franchised players...so he would have to be franchised agaon in all likelihood.

I have a feeling Roberts is heading for the IR, with the idea of bringing him back-after the 8 weeks.

As for Clowney, I don't see that happen.  Decosta, has made the comment he is not in favor of dealing 2's.  I am not sure, he is worth giving a 2.  Certainly, IMO not a 1.

If so, he has to be on the roster on Week 1. I think you're more likely to cut him Week 1, wait him out and resign him after the first wave of signings to a minimum non-guaranteed contract.

Are you not allowed to cut a guy that's injured? I can't remember if that's a rule or not...

You can cut him but you have to pay an injury settlement for the number of weeks he is gonna miss AND THEN you can't sign them for 6 more weeks.

Sounds like everyone was pretty much back at practice this week. Marshall (is he going by Biggie now) didn't practice. I wonder if he's headed for the IR. Willis and Roberts both practiced and so did Dixon.

"I’ll offer my roster projection Thursday night, following the final preseason game."

This line from the article triggered a question: Barring injury, will Thursday's game make any difference or has the Ravens' staff already made up its mind? Could an outstanding or poor performance really change their minds at this point?

My guess is they have made up their minds in most if not all situations, but I think there could still be a chance for a couple of bubble players to cement their status.

Yea, I think that is right.

Example if Mekari plays well, he takes Bozeman's place.

I think you have to waive them injured.  Not sure what the hell that means though.
