If dude thinks the prospects we got back are nothing, that's fine.

The Orioles front office very clearly does not agree with that. The think they are valuable, at least valuable enough to be willing to pitch in some of Cashner's remaining salary. Had they just wanted to dump Cashner and save all the money, they absolutely could have. So adding salary to get these two guys means something.

dude is absolutely right that Cashner's performance since the trade does not alter the process of the trade. He's absolutely wrong, IMO, that the process of the trade was not executed well by the Orioles. I think it was. It will be a good test of the acumen of some of these scouts that identified the prospects. If both fade away without ever making any noise, then that would be a disappointing result.

Mack, dude was the one who set the parameters of evaluating this trade. He wanted us to check back in 6 years to prove that the two DSL players amounted to nothing. Which I immediately pointed out was a bad methodology.

Better to trade someone a start too soon than too late eh?

Cashner apparently hit 98 on the radar gun last night.

Not surprising
