Wow. The Rays are loaded. Their pitching staff is sick. Offense is no slouch, either.

If we take one game in this series, it's a success.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

One game at a time.   The schedule maker certainly did not do the Orioles any favors.  Not another off day until next Thursday,

Your second place Baltimore Orioles!

A hoot, isn't it? This early stage is making the East look a little more like one of the other geographical divisions in either league can look - one team above .500 while everyone else is scuttled about. The AL Central and West combined only have two teams below .500 (both in the Central - White Sox and Royals). Meanwhile, the Orioles are pretty much matching last year's run differential pace; 10.5% of the way through the season, the differential (-27) is 10% of the way to last year's (-270). The -27 extrapolates to -257 over 162 games.

The Red Sox and the Yankees are too good not to get going, but the Orioles are playing hard, and fundamentally sound save, from some base running screw ups.  They are not embarrassing themselves. which is about the best we can hope for.

Snell to IL, so we'll miss him in this series, if he was to start against us. Not sure if he was.

He was scheduled to go against us on Thursday.

We also missed Sale against Boston and Severino (obviously) in the two NYY series.

A little early serendipity for our hapless group of 25.

We get Glasgow tonight and he is really good. but good to  miss Snell.

Sounds like he broke his toe, not good for a pitcher.

I'd add not leaving hanging meatballs in the middle of the plate, even in pitcher friendly counts as a fundamental too. But I guess that's easier said than done. ;)

At least they had the 11 AM game yesterday. Probably got to TB/St. Pete at a very reasonable time yesterday.

Chris Davis has been scratched from the #Orioles' lineup because of an illness, per a team spokesperson. Trey Mancini moves from right to first, and Joey Rickard enters the lineup in right field.
