Nothing to do with the current team, but apparently the Memphis Grizzlies are very high on Sarunas Jasikevicius as their potential head coach.

My favorite Terps growing up. Had no idea he was a hot coaching candidate. Too early for me to start thinking of him as a candidate to replace Turgeon?

Mine as well, right about the time that I really started getting into college basketball.

It'd be awesome if he came to MD, but seems like he's got his mind set more on pro ball than college.

I thought given the talent returning, the Terps may get one of the big guns from the ACC.

Bruno Fernando was drafted in the 2nd round of last night's NBA Draft by Philadelphia, and was subsequently traded to Atlanta where he'll join Kevin Huerter and Alex Len.

I will have an interest in any Hawks game that finds it way to TV.

That is a pretty lofty comparison.

Chol Marial set to undergo surgery to repair stress fractures in both of his legs. He'll be out 3-4 months.

Bummer.  Wasn't expecting much of any contribution from his this year aside from some run in non-conference and junk time, but this basically confirms that.  Redshirt him and see if you can get him right for the future.

I put it at about 50/50 that he ever plays a game.  Just tough for guys that big with leg issues to stay healthy.

Shame because there were reports of him playing / practicing some this Summer and looking good.

RS does seem likely, depends how likely thwy think it is he can get healthy and add to what they have...

Seems difficult without the practice season and missing most / all of the out of conference schedule.

OTOH, if he is healthy Jan 1st and you expect to be playing deep into March...you might not write him off now.

It is a shame but this is a normal injury for a big guy, especially one who has played sporadically, then ramps up.

The other shame is that it is sometimes a  recurring problem.
