A bit of a surprise.

He did a pretty good job, but he was probably given more resources then most Special team coaches.

Seems like an odd time of the year to retire, hope this is not related to any illnesses or family troubles and it's just a guy wanting to take advantage of some well-earned leisure years.

 

The Ravens special teams have been stellar his entire tenure.  I know Harbaugh will get a lot of credit for that given his history, but Rosburg gets nothing but respect and admiration from all Ravens fans.

The players apparently love Rosburg. He’s a big loss.

They said it has nothing to do with professional or health reasons. Just missing out on things with his kids.

Glad to hear it.  Very sad to see him leave the organization, though, agree it could be a big loss even if we just slip to very good on special teams.  Hopefully they've groomed a good replacement.
