This week's slate of games mostly scream "yard work." Not a whole helluva lot to be missed.

Yeah, but to be fair every week is like that this year in the NFL. They wanted a parity league but what they got was mostly a mediocre or worse league. The NFL is made up of one elite team(Guess which one.....hint Initials include an N and an E), a few legitimately good teams(KC-with Maholmes, GB, SF, NO) another group of fair to good teams(Ravens in this one along with Indy, Dallas, Minn, Sea, and Car) and the rest average or below. So it's fairly hard to have a lot of good matchups with so many teams that are only mediocre or worse.

I agree, but thank goodness it's raining.

From Terp to twerp.
Love me some Reich. Not just the Terps comeback, but with the Bills vs. Houston.
Great offensive mind. Better person by all accounts.

ESPN:
Drew Brees got off to a great start on his first drive back Sunday. After a high incompletion to TE Dan Arnold on his first attempt, he completed his next six passes for 45 yards and three first downs. Alas, the Saints' drive ended with a missed 47-yard field goal attempt by kicker Wil Lutz, who is in a rare slump after missing two last week as well.

ESPN:
With Matt Ryan out today, Russell Wilson's 120 consecutive starts will be the third-longest streak among active quarterbacks behind Philip Rivers and Matthew Stafford. Ryan's streak ends at 154.

It's beautiful now, though. Took advantage and went out and cleaned the rain gutters. Goddamn trees. I'm as green as the next guy, but sometimes I have to agree with a neighbor of mine (a BG&E guy who restored power lines after storms). "The only good tree is a desk."
Want to make sure I have the slate cleared in time for tomorrow's Pittsburgh-Miami tingler.
