It’s the annual “Clay Matthews gets flagged for a very legal hit” game.
Unreal. Shoulder to shoulder hit. Flag
That was an embarrassing call.
How does Zuerlein miss that kick?

Thought for sure the game was over when Zuerlein came on to attempt that kick. It was over, just not in the way I expected. That's two losses in a row for Los Angeles in a span of four days and now they're looking up at Seattle in the division.

So much for all that talk about improving during the bye week. The Jets were a mess before the bye, and they're still a mess, trailing the Eagles after the first quarter, 14-0. They look totally unprepared, as they've made big mistakes on both sides of the ball, including a pick-6 by stand-in QB Luke Falk. He looks like a quarterback who had minimal practice time. Oh, wait ...
Raiders rookie running back Josh Jacobs breaks the deadlock with the first play of the second quarter, darting in with a 12-yard TD run. With the extra point added by Daniel Carlson, Oakland have now brought up the second "7" of the week on the Tottenham scoreboard, after Bayern Munich did the same thing in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Interesting Cam Newton (foot) is not on the sideline yet again. Understand the Panthers want to keep their franchise quarterback off his injured left foot. But with Steve Smith and Jordan Gross, both former teammates of Newton, being inducted into the Hall of Honor one might have thought he would have made at least a brief appearance.
The Saints have opened things up with Teddy Bridgewater a little more, as expected, in this matchup against the Buccaneers. He has completed 6 of 8 passes for 67 yards on their first two drives – including a season-high 34-yard completion to Michael Thomas. Unfortunately, Bridgewater still hasn't quite gotten on the same page with TE Jared Cook with two missed connections that ended both drives. The Saints had to settle for another field goal and a 3-0 lead late in the first quarter.

Raiders extend their lead to 14-0...
Carolina now up 21-7.
In the battle of 2017 top 10 draft picks, Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (8 overall) has a rushing and receiving touchdown. Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette (4 overall) has two rushes for four yards. This is McCaffrey's fifth career game with a rushing and receiving touchdown Only New Orleans' Alvin Kamara with six has more since 2017
The Patriots' kicking game, which was a top storyline entering the game, continued to be one through the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Redskins. Mike Nugent missed his first extra point attempt. And then the Patriots had a fourth-and-1 at the Redskins' 22-yard line and unsuccessfully went for it. Trailing 7-6, would they passed up a 39-yard field goal if Stephen Gostkowski was still on the roster?

The Redskins have run 17 plays so far vs. New England; six of those have lost yards. That includes three sacks of quarterback Colt McCoy. In his first start this season, McCoy has completed four-of-six passes for minus-4 yards. The offense is forcing the Redskins' defense to keep trying to stop New England's offense. At some point, the defense will wilt.
