Patriots up 20-0 on the Jets.
Detroit leading Philly 14-10.

Two Miles Sanders fumbles on the same drive, the second one resulting in a turnover. The rookie RB had some fumbling issues at Penn State. Shows up Sunday vs. Detroit.
Colts QB Jacoby Brissett's 16-straight completions to open the game tied the fifth longest streak in team history. Peyton Manning ran off 23-straight completions during the 2008 season.
Panthers coach Ron Rivera said on Friday the team will see where quarterback Cam Newton is with his foot injury on Monday. Newton stayed in Charlotte for treatment. At this point don't be surprised if the team leans toward giving Newton another week or two to get the foot fully healed. It took two weeks to get him ready after he initially sprained the foot in the third preseason game.

Preston Williams couldn't hold on to what should have a TD to tie this game up from Josh Rosen. Defender makes good play to swat it away after a couple steps. Thought it might be worth a review from Brian Flores. Dolphins still in this thing, down just 10-6 in second quarter.

Two words to describe the Jets' offense: Utterly lifeless. Third-string QB Luke Falk hasn't been able to move the ball, but he's getting no help from the offensive line, which has suffered too many pass-protection breakdowns. They have only three first downs and trail, 20-0. In their last 14 quarters at Gillette Stadium, the Jets have been outscored, 125-15. Sheer domination.

Carson Wentz enters halftime tied for third in team tackles. That tells you plenty about the Eagles' first half vs. Detroit, which ends with them down 20-10. Two turnovers, including a crucial fumble by Nelson Agholor in the second quarter, was the difference.
During the week the Cowboys said all the right things about facing a Miami team that had been outscored 102-10 in their first two games, but carry just a 10-6 lead into halftime against the Dolphins. If not for a DeMarcus Lawrence fumble recovery at the Dallas 9, the Cowboys could have found themselves trailing. Dak Prescott had 11 incomplete passes in the first two games. He has 11 incompletions in the first half, throwing for 106 yards on 9-of-20 passing.

The referees can't help themselves. Last week refs blew a fumble dead by calling it incomplete. It was a fumble and costs the Saints a defensive TD. A lot of huffing and puffing about letting it play out and reviewing it later.
This week there was a clear incompletion but they swallowed the whistles and let it play out. Guy on the Giants running it back for 6, that would be overturned anyway, pulls a hamstring and falls down well short of the goal line.
Also a pass interference review was overturned and called pass interference. It looked in super slo mo like, sure, okay, maybe. But wasn't under the "Clear and obvious" rule we keep hearing about. It wasn't even close to the mugging that the Ravens tried to challenge and lost last week. You know, the one where the defender has his arms around the receivers shoulders and both feet off the ground.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Kyle Allen showed he should be the quarterback for the Panthers next week and let Cam Newton continue to rehab his foot injury, throwing four touchdown passes and compiling a 144.4 passer rating that was the second best in team history. And he led Carolina to a 38-20 victory over Arizona, preventing an 0-3 start.

Kyler Murray didn't have the late-game heroics in him Sunday afternoon in a 38-20 loss to the Carolina Panthers. After a great start, Murray struggled to get into a rhythm, throwing for just 173 yards while running for 69. He was sacked eight times, some of which were a product of his inexperience and not throwing the ball away or holding onto the ball too long.
The Saints have relied heavily on RB Alvin Kamara in their first full game without Drew Brees. Kamara has 13 rushes for 60 yards, nine catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns. That's 22 touches -- and the Saints have only run 47 offensive plays
