The Ravens are making a change at offensive coordinator. Greg Roman will be the offensive coordinator going forward as part of a potential re-organization of the Ravens' offensive coaching staff. John Harbaugh confirmed the change.

There could be other changes on the offensive staff as well. Running back coach Thomas Hammock is reportedly a top candidate for the head coaching job at Northern Illinois, his alma mater. Mornhinweg has been asked to remain a part of the staff in a different role.

I guess this means we can close the door on Harbaugh being traded.

Harbaugh has been very complimentary of the job his offensive staff did in changing the identity of the offense on the fly after Flacco was injured and Lamar Jackson took over. All his offensive assistants have been asked to stay on, but a few figure to be in different roles.

I wonder if anyone will be critical of this move or if it will be one of the rare moves with absolutely 100% support.

I think you'd get more complaints from fans if they lowered ticket prices than you will from this move.

Still wish we could have traded Harbaugh but if he’s staying, Marty being out was the next best thing.

Bucky Brooks:

The @Ravens would be wise to bring someone else in with recent college experience to keep them up to date on the latest offensive trends as they build around No.8. Maybe even reach out to Bobby Petrino as a QB coach, etc..

How awkward would that be? Doubt he stays on, but who knows.

Next man up to take blame away from Harbaugh for any offensive woes.

All depends on the person. Some people can accept it. And a job is better than unemployment.

Marty would be good as a coach on the defensive side.

He was always good at keeping points off the board.

Yeah, I've gotta be honest...While I don't blame Joe for the shitshow the offense was for the first half of the season, I am impressed with how the offense & coaching staff quickly turned the page and made what worked WORK with Jackson under center.  However, between Cam Cameron and Marty, I'm on the fence with who I disliked more...

How much do they owe him?  Is he still under contract?  No way he stays "in a different role"...his ego will check himself outta the Ball So Hard U Hotel me thinks.

I don't know about Petrino but agree with some young fresh ideas.
