This is a sad story and I hope he makes a full recovery...

...but the shooter's name is Willie Moses Hooker, Jr.  What a great freaking name.  Such a waste to only use it to become an attempted murderer when he had such a perfect opportunity of becoming a champion middleweight boxer or a too-old-for-this-shit private detective or a young-and-hungry district attorney or classic blues harmonicist.

A sure sign that football is almost back.  My season tickets arrived today.

"Every Decibel counts" is the slogan.  Also something about giving everything they have and never less.

I still miss the paper tickets.

Got mine today too. Underwhelmed by the packaging but it’s still a nice sign that football is getting closer by the day

Yea, kind of generic.  When I saw the white packaging, I wondered what did my wife order now?

I knew what they were because I got the tracking number and when I checked it it said it was delivered lol.

I was thinking the same thing until I saw the address. Got used to the large envelope. Just hope the lanyards are better this year. My son's broke after the 1st game.

With no deal for Clowney long-term, seems like the Texans are exploring a trade again. Clark and Ford were traded for 2nds, right? I'd definitely be exploring this with the intent to extend long-term if I was Baltimore.

Clark traded for 1st and future 2nd (plus swap of 3rds).  Extended for 5/$10.55M.

Ford traded for future 2nd.  Extended for 5/$87.5M

I'd be pretty damn surprised if DeCosta traded either of the Ravens top 2 picks in the upcoming draft, even for a potential major impact player.

I'd trade a 1st and future 2nd for Clowney but maybe not in the same draft...harder to do at this stage. But that's a big pill to swallow for sure. And somewhat agree that DeCosta would be apprehensive to do so.

The impact Mack had in Chi was obvious but Mack is/was a better player than Clowney, so that makes it much harder to say.

Also, wow, the first preseason game is 3 weeks away. That's incredible. And particularly exciting.

I don’t like the news on Browns’ foot.

Coming along too slow it seems.

I wouldn't be surprised if he starts the season on PUP

Tough to see any other scenario right now tbh.

The idea that he isn’t doing anything yet is concerning.

If they need the roster spot, they should probably consider IRing him like they should have with Andrews last year :)

He won't practice if they think he's not ready. And plenty of names could slot into that WR position. Though, I think this bolsters Roberts roster spot if he does, though I still think he's pretty redundant.

Hope that doesn't end up being a bad pick.

Way too soon to tell. It's not a quick heal, they knew that. But I hope not either.

With the understanding that you have to factor in opponent, game situation, health, etc...  how do the Ravens attack 1st down offensively?

1st down means a lot to any offense, but whether you are a Jackson believer or skeptical... I think we can collectively acknowledge it's a losing proposition for the 2019 Ravens if they are consistently 3rd and long.

They have to win on 1st down.

Teams will come in geared to slow the ground game on 1st.

1) Do you think the Ravens should generally have a 50/50 split between running and throwing on 1st?

2) Should the Ravens (particularly in the opening weeks) throw more on 1st? (Pass to open up the run?)

3) Should the Ravens say running is what we do best.... try and stop us!
