Cross Georgia off the CFB list. All they can do is play spoiler now.

What if they win out, win the East, and beat the West Champion in the SECC.... ?

(Considering they lost today, probably not happening... just saying.)

I mean obv a lot can happen with other teams in the Big 10 Big 12 and ACC but I think a home loss to Carolina puts them pretty far behind the 8 ball

It will be interesting to see what happens if Ohio State Clemson and Oklahoma are all unbeaten and Georgia beats undefeated Bama or LSU in SEC Title game

They aren’t out of it but they need help for sure.

This is a bad loss.

One loss doesn’t kill you unless it’s a really bad one.

Georgia doesn't need any help to make the playoff. They totally control their destiny.  They win out and they are in. Not saying it will happen but they don't need any help.

It would be perfect. More chaos! What needs to happen to get to an 8 team playoff.

6 is ideal. Do it just like the NFL. Top two get BYEs

Completely disagree with this. If they barely beat an undefeated SEC West team that survived that gauntlet I think this loss would keep them out.

Man Fromm looked off today.

So just who would get in. Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Clemson (assuming they win out). That leaves only one loss teams. There is no way a one loss SEC team gets left out. Do you think the committe puts say Alabama in over Georgia after Georgia just beat them to win the SEC?

I would take a one loss Georgia to the bank at this point. What am I missing????

Notre Dame leading USC 17-3.

Penn State up on Iowa 7-6.

LSU leading Florida 14-7.

Utah up 21-0 on Oregon State.

Alabama beat A&M 47-28.

Clemson beat FSU 45-14.

You’re missing the fact that Georgia lost at home to South Carolina.

Put another way:

Alabama barely losing to Georgia on a neutral field is better than Georgia losing at home to SC. I know it seems weird to take a team over a team that just beat them but Bama resume would be better.

The selection committee has stated for as long as they have been around that winning the conference and head to head are two major criteria they consider. We'll see how this goes down the road I guess.

Yea but they wouldn’t keep UGA out in that scenario.
