I've resisted but I can no longer put Bama ahead of Clemson.

My full rank will be released tomorrow provided I am quasi-lucid after the Ravens' game

No movement for me either. While Clemson has the better resume, I think right now Alabama is just a shade better. That's mostly because Lawrence just hasn't looked up to form yet this season, while Tua has been outstanding.

Auburn faces their 2nd top 20 team in their first 4 games in Texas A&M on Saturday. Meanwhile, Alabama continues their daunting schedule, facing Southern Mississippi this week.

Tua has looked outstanding. But so what. They have played Duke, South Carolina, and New Mexico State.  Those three teams stink. Now I think Alabama is good. Really good. But the next two weeks they play Southern Miss and Ole Miss. Two more lousy teams. So lets see how they do on the road at Texas A&M in three weeks.

Deified-Dozen-2019-Week-3.jpg

https://www.baltimor...ll-week-3-poll/

There was not much movement between Weeks 2 and 3, as most of the upsets involved teams ranked lower in various Top 25 polls. No one dropped out of our Dozen, and thus no new teams are in. In fact, our 1-8 teams are in the exact same order as last week. We did see Florida and Penn State drop a bit due to less-than-inspiring wins at home against lesser opponents. Michigan and Utah were the beneficiaries, inching up one and two spots, respectively.

Week 4 will feature several attractive matchups, the most anticipated being #3 Georgia hosting #8 Notre Dame. The result of the 2017 matchup between the two was a 1-point game, and many hope this will be just as close. If our rankings were a baker's dozen, we'd have two head-to-head matchups this week when #9 Michigan travels to Wisconsin, but the Badgers fell short a few votes of cracking our rankings. Still, it should be a very interesting game. #7 Auburn faces a big test when they go to College Station to face former Dozen member Texas A&M. Finally, if you are looking for some Friday night viewing, keep an eye on Utah as they head to LA to face USC. The formerly-ranked Trojans fell in OT to BYU, who Utah beat in Week 1, but this still figures to be the biggest test the Utes have faced so far in a season where they likely must go undefeated to make the College Football Playoff.

This is the kinda college football weekend I love. Three good top 25 match-ups, in three different time slots.

Utah and likely the PAC 12 are done in terms of the playoff.

Maybe Wash St makes a run. That’s about it.

Wisconsin was an obvious play today, right?

Glad to see Michigan getting exposed. The D is overrated and basic, the WR's are super talented but inconsistent, as is Patterson. A good, talented team, but in no way a top 10 team.

Jonathan Taylor on his way to a potentially historic day. Already 143 rushing yards and 2 TD's with 3 quarters to go.

JT has been in the locker room since that post, but it hasn't mattered. It's now 21-0 Wisconsin, who is just controlling the ball longer without their star.
