New Orleans could get healthy really fast with Williamson and Garland.

Wizards are holding a special draft day promotion, one lucky fan who, wins a drawing gets to decide who to pick and also gets to be a GM for a year.

NO has traded with Atlanta

Woj:

Atlanta has acquired New Orleans No. 4 pick in the draft for No. 8 and 17 and 35, league sources tell ESPN. Pelicans are sending Solomon Hill, No. 57 pick and a future second-round pick.

Atlanta is taking Hunter.

NO also gets a protected first round pick next year that was Cleveland’s...Woj is saying it probably turns into 2 second rounders those.

There was talk that Atlanta would deal 8 and 10.

I’m guessing them taking on Hills contract helped them keep #10.

Bad deal for Atlanta imo. They're apparently moving up to take Hunter, but are considering Reddish too. They may have been able to get one of them at 8 anyway, and neither seem to be worth trading up for imo.

They are taking Hunter according to Wojnarowski.

I guess it’s possible Hunter would be there at 8 but I doubt it.

Either way, it's a bad deal imo.

Great, emotional reaction by Zion.

Best prospect since Davis? LeBron?

He's in a great situation. He's going to be a lot of fun to watch. Team could become good quick. He should be a multiple time AS...

There are some real questions though in-terms of him reaching his ceiling. Im confident he is going to be very productive.

His jumper is the primary question with him. We've seen guys with mediocre or worse jumpers excel as ball dominant guys though, but those types need shooting around them, which the Pelicans currently don't have a lot of.

It's dumb that Hunter had to wear the Lakers hat.

Good for the Cavs for picking Garland even though they took Sexton in the lottery last year. Fit isn't a huge concern for a team in Cleveland's position and Sexton isn't all that special anyway.

Jalen Rose and Jay Williams were pointing out the concerns about who he defends... Jalen doesn't like him getting time at the 5... Jay questioned not only the shot, but what he does inside when bully ball doesn't work.

I think he's in a perfect situation with NO... Gentry apparently likes to push the ball... he's got multiple PG's who will be able to deliver looks, he'll get a lot of transition baskets.... he's going to be fun.

Heard multiple people say in the last week they thought Barrett has the higher ceiling though.

Lot of people like Hunter's all-around game too.  Jimmy Patsos said yesterday he reminded him of Kawhi (coming out of college).

Zion should primarily guard the 4, but he also has good defensive versatility.

He's in a great situation long-term with how much young talent plus assets the Pelicans have. However, in the short-term, the lack of 3pt shooting is a problem.

RJ doesn't have close to the ceiling that Zion has imo, and could easily be Wiggins 2.0.
