The NFL season is finally upon us, and the Ravens have a pretty favorable match-up in week 1. The offense may be tested, but the defense should dominate in this one.

Ravens D will dominate in the trenches.  They'll stuff LeSean McCoy, harass the inexperienced Peterman, and force critical mistakes.  The Ravens offense will be playing with good field position all day, and will manage to convert that into points more often than they did last year.

I'm hopeful this team is too good to play down to the level of inferior opponents and too smart to take their foot off the gas.  A big win would show that all the training camp and preseason hype was warranted.

My prediction: Ravens 30, Bills 10

538 gives Ravens pretty good odds as well.

I think a big win as well but I'll get cute and say it's some weird score.

Apparently Hurst is starting at RT. I expect the defense to have a great day, but I'll be more interested in how the line and offense overall looks. Either way, anything less than a decisive win will be disappointing.

I hope I'm wrong about this but since the lst team offense has had precious little time on the field this preseason, I can definitely see them sluggish and mistake prone out of the gate.  I look for a boring, punt filled 1st half with the Ravens going in at half time up 7-3. After that, I expect them to get into a better rhythm and eventually put the Bills away.  It won't be pretty(it never is with the Ravens) but they'll come out victorious.    BALTIMORE 24; BUFFALO 13
