Yep, and Joe is also the reason for the Orioles struggles.

I KNEW it. That sandbagging S.O.B has been sinking both ships all these years.

Brian:

A couple of others likely playing to earn their large '19 salaries - Brandon Carr & Eric Weddle (perhaps, Yanda too).
If released in '19, the Cap savings for each:
Flacco: $10.5M (or $18.5M if post-6/1 release)
Smith: $9.5M
Weddle: $6.5M
Carr: $5M (or $6M if post-6/1)
Yanda: $7M

One week from the day, the Ravens begin to report.

Can't wait....we can stop bitching as much about the Orioles and begin to bit.....err, root for the Ravens.

Move over, Chris....Joe is back.

My guess would be you see Joe gone with a post June first designation. As well as Weddle and Carr. That'd be $30 million in instant savings.

edit: I think we offer Mosley roughly around the difference between Flaccos savings pre-June first vs post June first. Ultimately I think you see him get, whether its from us or elsewhere, around a 5 year 50-60 million contract. Pretty much what the market has been set at this year for a top 10 ILB. And unfortunately, the Ravens don't have a back-up plan an ILB.
