I just physically shuddered.  And I already knew the pitching matchup, but the simple reminder of it was troubling.

For the Astros, it will be like whiffle ball.

Legitimately thought Mike Wright was no longer a member of this organization.

I think Cobb even without ST would be better than Wright.

Blocking things out is a nice skill. Unfortunately, I knew all along he still was.

In Wright's debut - when he went 7+ scoreless against the Angels - Delmon Young was the cleanup hitter, Jimmy Paredes was the DH, Steve Pearce was at 2B, and Travis Snider was in LF.

For being relatively recent, that's a bizarre combination of players and positions.

That was your basic Chris Waters performance, and against the Angels to boot.

Time to...Wright...the ship. Heh, heh.

Not really. It's gonna be a bloodbath.

I feel like I should wait another game or two to ask this question but I think its ok to ask now. % odds the Os see .500 again this year. Legit question. Under 30%??

I'd take 4-1 or 3-1 on that sort of bet.

Next BSL happy hour, I'll buy you a beer.  If we get back to .500, you buy a round?

Ok. I think this road trip might bury us but would love to be wrong. The next few weeks after this trip dont get easier either. Again, I feel like I might be a bit premature on the .500 thing at 1-3 but I expect to be no better than 3-7 leaving NY.

I think hitting a whiffle ball is harder than hitting Wright.

Buck must still be slaving over that lineup. Doesn't matter what order they're in, they still suck.

There is really not much he can do with the lineup when everyone sucks.

Nice that he got Sisco back in tonight to work with Wright who he had to have caught a good bit last year at Norfolk.

I don’t think it’s premature at all.

It’s imperative that this team gets off to some kind of a reasonably good start.

If they are within 5 games of being 500 by the end of the month, I think you consider that a win.

I really think they need to win one of these next 2 games. If they don’t, they really risk being buried early.

All this negativity...I just can't believe no one is talking about blowing it up yet.  Maybe I'll start it.  WE obviously aren't going to sign Manny or Jones, we are stuck with Davis, we are good with Schoop THIS YEAR but are screwed on him also.  Why is that old fuck allowed to own and run this organization?  Or his sons?!??!   I can't wait to take my kids to practice and to dinner tonight and then come home and turn on the game for 2 minutes to just turn it back off.

Thinking positive:  maybe we can get more than 5 GD hits tonight.

Rasmus at DH and Santander in RF is a bit peculiar.
