BSL: http://baltimorespor...board-position/

I've broken down my big board into positions, and each position into tiers. 84 players total. I figure it can be used as a tool on draft days to find out which value picks are still available as the players start coming off the board.

Great article Mike, appreciate the volume of guys you hit on.

One area I'd quibble is your take on the edge position, strong at the top, not much depth. I would actually say it's the opposite. I don't see a Demarcus Ware or Von Miller, but I see 5-8 guys who I think could be 7-12 sack guys regularly. Shilique Calhoun, Shaq Lawson and Bosa are the ones that stood out to me as the best rushers on film, and I could see all three posting double-digit sack seasons at some point. There are probably some guys who will make good on their immense physical skills (Yannick, the kid from OK State, Noah Spence) and develop into that as well. So I like the depth in this draft, just not sure any of them save maybe Bosa is worth the 6th spot in the draft. Also, taking Jack out of the running as an edge defender affects that, since he'd presumably play inside in Baltimore.

I don't disagree too much with your board but Floyd is going to go Top 15, maybe top 10. He's a 1st round prospect

I can see that happening, but I'm not sure about his position in the NFL.  I have seen a number of guys with his profile fail like Dion Jordan and Barkevious Mingo. He's probably best suited to play SLB in a 4-3, but I'm worried about him as a run defender. I don't like him as a pure edge rusher. His best attributes are athleticism and ability to drop in coverage, but he's not Myles Jack in coverage either.

Also see you have Buckner behind Nkemdiche. Though you have them both Top 10 overall. Nkemdiche just can't be that high with his issues. That has to be a factor when making a Big Board

I don't know about his issues besides what is leaked to the media, and who knows how reliable that is. I don't trust anything that is leaked. Nobody knows who the sources are and how reliable they are. What one team thinks could be completely different than what another team thinks.

What I do know is that he's a better talent than Buckner so he is higher on my board.

And he's not a better talent either. Buckner will be an All Pro. Multiple time Pro Bowler

Well I clearly disagree. Nkemdiche is off the charts athletic for a player his size. Buckner is slightly above average. If you watch them on film it's not close which one is the more disruptive force.

I actually doubt Buckner will ever be an All-Pro because he won't be a high sack guy. Nkemdiche could be the next Aaron Donald.

Buckner had 10.5 sacks this past year. He's certainly got a chance to be a double digit sack guy and doing it from inside.

Lots of players accumulate stats in college. He has a chance, but he doesn't fit the profile of a player who is a dominant interior pass-rusher. He's not very sudden or explosive.

I'll take that bet.

Maybe you guys are just super high on Nkemdiche, but I really am confused on how anyone questions Buckners potential or floor. Both are high.

Buckner looks good. But to say a college guy is going to be NFL All-Pro....I'll just take the odds that he won't be.

I like Buckner a lot, I just don't expect the massive production that a player with Nkemdiche's talent is capable of. Buckner is a lot safer, but his upside is not nearly as high.
