It's nice knowing that no matter how alone I may feel at times I have a community of people that hate Matt Wieters I can turn to.

I love you all.

Good shit. I've finally starting getting into them of late.

I'm wide awake and its morning is a fucking masterpiece, but their earlier shit is where I've been lately.  The last 5 songs of LIFTED on repeat all month.

As rule #1 says, "remember this is a Sports board, and supposed to be ‘fun.’".  Well, I'm obviously not having much fun at the moment.  So, it's time for me to take a hiatus for a while.   I'll be around, and I'm sure I'll be back sometime after I cool off.  In the meantime, feel free to email me if you need help with anything (graphics, or anything else):   [email protected]

Still have some vertigo feeling from sailing this weekend, if I sit still it looks like the walls are swaying back-and-forth.  Got a softball game in an hour...if this makes me swing and miss or drop a ball, I'm gonna be pissed!  Hopefully a beer or two helps this, as it does all other problems.

Haha it'll pass within a day.  It happens to everyone from time to time.

I remember that first day underway. I'd sleep about 12 hours. Best sleep ever.

Yeah, this was my 2nd sailing trip, both 3 day weekends, and I sleep fantastic on the boat. Way better than at home, out like a brick.

Picked up a bag of coffee for work (brew mine at work, not home) mistakenly got De-Caf and didn't realize until after I bought it and was about to make some, ugh.

When I went on deployment part of my stay was aboard the USS Greenbay.  My sea legs that I thought were sound were tested mightily...

I am pretty sure Shack is thinking of PBR.

I can't make it on a charter fishing boat on the Bay without puking everywhere. I get awful sea sickness. 10 Dramamine or so and I'm fine though!

Yeah motion sickness started to become a thing for me about 5 year ago. Transformers 2 of all things did it to me. Thanks Michael Bay. It's usually when I feel like I'm moving and I'm not. Turbulence on planes usually messes with me too so I pop a Drammamine before takeoff and I'm ok.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I'd love to take a tour of that.

My older son and my daughter have soccer practice on the same night.  I coach my daughter's team, meaning I never get to see my son's practices.

Except for this week.  His coach cancelled practice on Labor Day and rescheduled for tonight, so I was actually going to get to see him practice tonight for the only time all year.

Of course, it rains for the first time in a month and all fields are closed.

So I have DirecTV. It's raining cats and dogs out out the signal is out. Ok. Fine.

I'm really worried this is going to happen when it really counts, like the Ravens are on, or Super Bowl, etc...

I flip aimlessly through the channels because one time it was out, once the rain stopped, the signal won't come back until you change a channel. Come to find out, every single channel that runs 24 hours of infomercials, or QVC, Home shopping channel, they all work just fine in this monsoon.

You're telling me that only channels that sell you something can pick up the signal through a storm? What gives?

^ Interesting.

Also, if it snows enough, the same thing can happen (at least as of several years ago, the last time I was at my parents' and it snowed quite a bit), so if you have a harsh winter, you may have to clear the dish off periodically.

Actually didn't have a problem with the snow this past winter. It's rained hard enough to knock it out maybe four times since we got it in January. It's expected, I just worry about it coming at the worst possible time one day.
