I just hope Davis, Mancini and Trumbo don't hog all of his playing time next year.

I hope Mancini hogs a ton of playing time.  He should be the everyday 1B, IMO.  But agree on the other two.

I think we might be able to find a home for Trumbo in the offseason while only having to eat roughly half of his salary.  Davis obviously is unmovable, but being able to play him at DH and then bench/release if he can't turn things around will open up more time for any young guys who need it.

Stewart and Mullins should be in the lineup everyday to start the season.  Other guys (Hays, Diaz, Mountcastle, Sisco) need to prove some things first at Norfolk before getting up to Baltimore and getting into the lineup everyday.

Yep, no problem with Mancini playing every day, although preferably at 1B.  It's Davis and Trumbo that would force Mancini to move back to LF, which could potentially eat into Stewart's playing time.  I'd be doing everything I could to move Trumbo.

If Davis and Trumbo are both on roster, and ownership demands we play Davis regularly to see if we can salvage some value, I'd give strong consideration to beginning the season with Mancini at 1B, Trumbo at DH, Stewart in LF, and Davis playing in RF.  I think he'd be pretty bad out there at this point (unlike years ago when I thought he had the athleticism and arm to be good out there once he got comfortable), but I think something to shake him up might be beneficial to his problems at the plate.

I doubt Trumbo is here next year but I like your plan for Kavis.

Stewart followed up an encouraging 2017 in Double-A with a mediocre season this year with Norfolk. He reached Baltimore in September and hit for some power across a small cup of coffee, showing improved defensive ability moving between corner outfield spots. The team’s first-rounder in 2015, we see him finishing closer to a part-time starter with corner versatility than a true everyday type. The O’s have been good about maximizing value from this type of player, and the hitter-friendly confines of Camden Yards won’t hurt, either.

3-4, including a triple and a walk today.

OPs up to 967.

Zero reason for him to be in AAA at this point.

Agree, get him up to Baltimore and get him some regular run.  Move Mancini to DH (or 1B with Davis to DH).

Yep, 25 years old, almost 2,000 PA in the minors, hitting the ball well.  It's time.

3-4 with his 8th homerun tonight. Now batting .293 with a .985 OPS in 123 ABs.

Bring him up.

Do we even have someone worth demoting or cutting for him?

Alberto, Nunez, Rickard. Take your pick from our stacked roster.

I’d DFA Alberto. Wilkerson can play the infield if needed. Stewart in left, Wilkerson/Rickard in center, Smith in right, Mancini DH/1B/OF.

1st- Davis

2nd/SS- Wilkerson/Villar/Martin

3rd- Ruiz

LF- Stewart

CF- Mullins

RF- Smith Jr

DH- Mancini

C- Severino

Nunez sharing some time but needs to start hitting again.

Alberto or Rickard goes..Martin likely the one on the bench for now.
