The Orioles playing meaningful baseball in September.

Spontaneous 2nd trip to the Outer Banks in a month for a long weekend...for free.

How about a combination of these two...spontaneous road trip to New York for Orioles/Yankees on Sunday! Wooooooo!

Well, today I get married! I haven't been as active on the board recently due to all of the preparation for the wedding, but the rushing around is finally over! So today, probably by 2:00pm, I will be happily married!

Oh yeah, I have one of my own.

Today is my daughter's first birthday. It's really hard to believe it's here already. She's grown so much and has developed such a personality it's crazy. It's a proud moment looking at pictures and videos from the past year and realizing how far we've come. Almost makes me want another one. Maybe next year...

I'm closing on a new house today and moving to Gadsden, AL this week to be closer to the new job I started in June. Pretty excited to cut the commute, but sad to be leaving Birmingham. This will be the third piece of real estate that my wife and I own in Alabama because we can't seem to get rid of my old house. If anyone wants a summer home in beautiful Birmingham, AL, please let me know!

Looking forward to a 3 day weekend. Taking the day off on Friday and heading up to Atlantic City for the weekend with my lady. For some reason she is a huge Hall & Oates fan, so I picked up tickets for their show at the Borgata on Saturday. My one regret is not participating in Movember, as that concert would have made for a hilarious facial hair farewell celebration.

Still a bit surreal. It's good for a couple random smiles a week.

Hey, you know how in the future we'll talk about how good it felt that offseason after the Orioles made the playoffs for the first time in a while? THIS is that time! :D

Just got back from a Drive by Truckers show at Tipitinas. They absolutely slayed. Up close for their 20 song set.

Tonight, I had the option of watching the NBA All-Star Game, or MASN's rerun of the September 6 Yankees-Orioles game (which I not only knew the outcome of, but attended in person). While I watched more of the former than I have in, oh, 20 years, I still chose to focus on the latter.

I'm happy with my priorities, at least when it comes to sports.

The NBA All-Star game is awful, no argument there, but I hope folks don't think that product in any way resembles a regular season NBA game.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

It's supposed to be entertaining, and absolutely is, especially if you love watching point guards, which I do.
