On this episode of the Chris Stoner Show, I was joined by MASN’s Steve Melewski to talk about the Orioles.

Unfortunately there was a tech snafu on our end, which cut Steve off mid-interview.

That said, we were still able to cover a decent amount of ground.

Topics included:

– Baseball is back… we’re embracing the weird… geographical element, expanded rosters, universal DH, extra inning rule, 3 batter rule… which new element intrigues Steve the most?

– Due to COVID, baseball is not maximizing their revenue this year. One way to recoup some of the lost revenue would be with expansion. Forbes’ Maury Brown estimates each of the existing 30 teams could stand to take in $66M in expansion fees if baseball expanded by 2 teams… would Steve like to see expansion, and radical realignment?

– Thoughts on Mountcastle, Akin, and Kremer.

– Among Ruiz, Nunez, and Alberto – who is Steve highest on?

– Some thoughts on the bullpen. Harvey, Scott, Tate, Carroll, Kline, and Armstong.
