Welcome to the 2018 BSL Deified Dozen rankings. Each week during the season our panel of experts will rank the Top 12 teams in college football. Members of our panel include:  CT Schwink, Rob Shields, Mike Lowe, Zack Kiesel, Brian (Pedro Cerrano) McGuire, Chris (Ricker Says) Ricker, Steve Birrer, Mike Randall and Chris Garman. We are looking forward to an exciting season of college football.

The Top Four in the Deified Dozen stayed the same after Week 6 of the college football season, but there was no lack of movement elsewhere in our poll thanks to losses by four of our #5 – #12 teams. LSU and Oklahoma dropped several spots, while Auburn and Kentucky fell out completely. The big beneficiary? That would be Penn State, who gained 27 votes to jump up 4 spots by virtue of playing….no one. But that’s college football; sometimes the best way to help your cause is to just sit back on a Saturday and watch the carnage.

This week features one head-to-head matchup in the Dozen, as #2 Georgia heads to Baton Rouge to face #9 LSU, but at least the Bulldogs don’t have to wait until nightfall to take the field in Death Valley. Other matchups of note include #8 Washington taking on longtime rival Oregon in Eugene, while our newest entrant, #12 Michigan, hosts Wisconsin in the Big House.
