Here’s a few quick hits for the weekend in College and Pro Football:

NCAA:

Florida State -7.5 vs Wake Forest: No way FSU can start out 0-3. Right? Jimbo gets these guys fired up as the Deacs suffer their first loss.

New Mexico +2.5 vs Air Force: If Lamar Jordan returns (he’s probable), I like the Lobos in a mild upset.

(You can discuss this on the BSL Board here.)

Florida Atlantic -3 vs Middle Tennessee: The Blue Raiders have struggled mightily this season as Brent Stockstill remains out at QB. Look for FAU to grind out a win here.

Mississippi State +9 vs Auburn: Are the Bulldogs the team that crushed LSU two weeks ago, or the team that couldn’t muster a thing last weekend at Georgia? I say they bounce back here and give Auburn all they can handle.

NFL:

New Orleans -3 vs Miami: The fish traveled to LA in week 2, to New Jersey in week 3, and now they’re off to London. I wouldn’t wish that schedule on Coach K! Brutal way to start the season. Having Jay Cutler at QB doesn’t help either. I expect another blowout in London.

OVER 48.5 LA Rams/Dallas: The Rams seem to be the “hot” team right now, they’re fun to watch, and Jared Goff appears to be a new man in year 2. Meanwhile, Dallas played much better Monday night in Arizona, and this one looks like a shootout.

UNDER 38.5 Jacksonville/New York Jets: This Jags defense is the real deal. The Jets offense is not. Pretty simple formula here, though I don’t love ever touching the games after a team returns from London. I’ll put the jet lag (pun intended) here aside for the Jags, as they win easy and hold the Jets below double digits.

Have fun with these, please make fun of me if I go 0-7, and as always, bet with your head, not over your head.
