The University of Maryland finished the 2010 Football Season #23 in the Associated Press Poll with a 9-4 overall record, including 5-3 in Atlantic Coast Conference play. On Saturday, Maryland’s Spring Red/White Football game will occur. Once complete, the focus will move towards the fall. When the players reconvene, what will be the appropriate expectations for the roster?

In the NationalChamps.Net ‘2011 Early Bird Preview’ (http://nationalchamps.net/2011/earlybird/index.htm) the Terps were ranked 27th.

Athlon Sports recently had a round-table discussion of their writers, asking who would finish 2nd in the ACC Atlantic behind Florida State (http://www.athlonsports.com/columns/5-burning-questions/2011-predictions-acc-atlantic.) Maryland received some consideration, as did NCST and Clemson.

As other sites come out with their rankings, I think you will see a lot of similar projections for the Terps. Basically a team on the verge of the Top 25, but not expected to challenge FSU within the division.
