Keep in mind that the original "It" was made for tv.

The new one is much better. There is a made for tv version of "The Shining" made in the mid 90s. If you have ever seen that, it's a terrible movie. Pales in comparison to the Kubrick version which is a masterpiece, IMO.

The new one being an R-rated movie rather than a TV-14 at best, made with modern technology, makes a world of difference. Haven't checked the numbers but New "It" is breaking all kinds of box office records. Its still out in theatres. So that should tell you a little about the quality.

Also the best part of the old "It" is the kids scenes. The adults was as cheesy as it gets. But they are intertwined because that's how the book reads. The new movie is chronological with the kids being the whole thing. Open for a sequel featuring an adult cast.

It's Halloween. Go see the new one if you haven't. It's great.

Good to hear. I just couldn’t believe how awful that movie was.
