Toronto obviously feels they can make the Finals...worry about GS once they get there, but making the Finals is a really big deal, especially for a city that hasn't been there recently.

But, there is a ton of merit to, what could they now get from the Lakers? If you can turn DeRozan, a goodgreat player but not superstar into 2 of the Lakers prospects and a pick from basically Derozan for 2 really good young players and 2 first round picks, I think that puts them in a great position moving forward. Obviously they don't get that window in 2018 but sets them up really well long-term.

Of course, they hope they pull a Paul George and keep him but I highly doubt that given Leonards position now compared to PG's when he was traded last year.

On the other side of it, I definitely commend the Lakers for not giving up the farm to the Spurs and trying to create an awesome situation for 5-10 years by not blowing their load this year...but if they can only deal 2 of Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Hart...I think they have to make the move. And if they're on the fence, they too can look at the Paul George situation to justify it.
