I'm hoping Chance has a good spring and starts the season off well in AAA, then comes up and slots in the lead off spot for us a few weeks into the season. Not saying he's the same talent as Trea Turner, but perhaps he can be a similar spark from an OBP perspective at least. I've never understood the concern over the lack of power (which may not be that bad anyway). So what if he doesn't hit HR's? We have plenty of guys to do that. Put he and Kim at the top of the order and let the guys behind them knock them around the bases. That sounds like a more well rounded offense to me.

I don't think Sisco's lack of power is held against him as a reason that he can't be successful, just is that people point out that he has basically zero power when describing him as a player.  He'll need to be able to hit for a high average to be an above-average offensive player.  Fortunately, he's done that at every step, especially after he's gotten used to the level.

I would be surprised if he's on the team on Opening Day, but if he has a great Spring, then he'll have a shot.  I think he starts at Norfolk and is up after a couple months.  Joseph and some other vet backup carry the weight until then.

I think if the team does not make a strong effort to resign Wieters that would speaks volumes about their confidence level in Sisco to be a part of the team as early as next season.

The issue with the power is that he may be a guy that Ml pitchers challenge more often because they aren't worried about power. That obviously could make it tougher on him.

Right, he'll likely walk less in the majors than he currently does in the minors because pitchers won't ever really need to pitch around him.  Of course, he could improve either his hit tool or his plate discipline to make up for that.  Not like he's a finished product at this point.  He could add a little power as well.

I do like to see the doubles he has hit his year.

He has played in some hitters parks, so that is nice to see.

I'm open to shopping Britton, and seeing what comes back... but will be very surprised if he isn't on the O's in '17.
No real interest in trading Tillman...would be shocked if he isn't on the O's in '17.

Sisco reminds me of Jason Kendall.

This is definitive proof that he is not a part of the team's future plans and is actively being shopped in trade discussions.

Sisco is ice cold.  9/45 over the past 3 weeks.    He's also striking out a ton, almost 30% of the time, which has never been an issue for him before.

He's got a pretty solid track record of struggling at new levels for a while before figuring it out and going on to hit very well.  He had a 729 OPS in 2015 in his final month of the season when he got promoted to Bowie, then a 789 OPS for April & May of 2016, and then 847 the rest of the way before getting a brief callup to Norfolk.  Earlier in 2015 in Frederick, he had a 742 OPS through June (he also missed about 4 weeks due to injury) and then a 860 OPS the rest of the way until his mid-August promotion to Bowie.  2014 at Delmarva he 761 OPS through May and then 894 the rest of the way.

He's 109 PA into his AAA career with a 692 OPS, so hope we see a similar epiphany and he gets things going within the next month or so.

He can hit. Not too concerned though the K jump is noteworthy
