Mel likes him. Thought him a mid second rounder.

This is the part where I bow out and trust the judgment of management. I don't know anything about this kid.

His numbers are impressive, but you really can't put any stock in that given the competition level. 38 reps on the bench-press....tops at the combine this year, so he's strong. Looks like he can move the pocket.

National Football Post: The Ravens missed on nose tackle Terrance Cody, so they needed to find a player who can handle that role. Williams is a short, stocky defensive tackle with the strength to be an anchor at the point of attack. He will never be an explosive, playmaking DT, but he has what it takes to become a solid starting nose tackle with a season of development.

He is built like Casey Hampton. Lets hope he has 3/4 as good a career.

Anybody see the video/.gif of him walking on his hands in the endzone? Insane.

Also, some very sweet pics were leaked of him celebrating last night on Twitter/Instagram. Awww.

As each day goes by, I'm getting more excited about this guy clogging up the middle.

Williams said that several teams showed interest in him after the Senior Bowl, and as speculation and interest grew, the Ravens rose to the top of the list.

“I was like, ‘I could be a Raven. I want to be a Raven. I would love to be a Raven. I would love to be on that defense. I know how nasty it is, I know how physical it is. That’s exactly what I feel like I am. I definitely wanted to be a Raven.”

That's awesome. Guys like this playing at bad programs have to really do something to shine. The fact that he'll be around pro-level, and in some cases, All-Pro level talent on this defense should really bode well for him. I'm excited about this pick as well.

The feeling was mutual. Newsome said that 45 minutes before the Ravens were on the clock in the third round, Williams was the player they hoped to get.

“He was the number one guy we wanted,” Newsome said. “We had other guys that we really liked, that are still on our board, but he was the number one guy that we felt fit an immediate need but also was a very good player

Its always nice when you can pin point a guy you want, early in a round, and still wind up with him, without having to trade up.

I saw a video where his summer job is cleaning porta-pottys. No job is below him. Works 8 hours a day catching crap, then spend the rest of day at practice and the weight room. His coach said anyone would love for their son to grow up and be just like him. Love this guy the more and more I read about him.

Mel Kiper mentioned last night he thinks this kid is a starter on our D-line today.

Yea, Cody has been knocked down a level on the depth chart, no doubt about that.

One of Cody's problems is his lack of strength.  Just looking at this guy, strength isn't going to be an issue.  He is a beast.

As we talked about last night, I have no doubts this defense is better today than the one that won the SB....and its better in ALL facets.

One thing we haven't talked about a lot this offseason is Webb.  We need him to come back and be solid.  If he can, our secondary should be very good and we definitely have improved the DLine.
